The final points race at Kankakee was ran tonight after being postponed Friday night due to rain. Jay was in a tight points battle for second going into tonight and he didn't think his car had enough power to hold off Billy Wicker. Fortunately, Jay's brother Joe gave Jay his ride for the night. Jay was in Joe's #2 purple and white machine and Jay's other brother Jeff was in Jay's #6 red, white, and blue machine tonight.

Jay came to the track on the outside of row four in the third heat. After an uneventful race, Jay crossed the line in sixth one place out of a transfer position and he would have to come through the semi.

Jay came to the semi on the inside of row two. He passed Dale Lutish right away and went into second. Jay worked the entire race trying to track down leader Josh Kohler, but could never make a move.

The transfer through the semi put Jay on the inside of row nine for the feature. By this point, Jay had the second spot in points locked in as Billy Wicker was unable to qualify for the feature. Jay gets past Neil Martin and Steve Thorsten up to fifteenth place. After moving into twelth, Jay gets by Chris Schoon and his brother Jeff to move into tenth. By lap eleven, Jay passed Rick LaFine to move into eighth. That's as high as Jay would get as he had to pull off the track with just a few laps to go and finish in 13th place.

Jay finishes the season with a second place standing at Kankakee Motor Speedway and a fourth at LaSalle Speedway. The season isn't quite over yet as LaSalle has a few more races left and Kankakee still has the big $2000-to-win Street Stock special in October!

Racing action is back in full swing at Kankakee Motor Speedway and Jay got things started early with the trophy dash. He started on the inside of row two, but didn't get a very good start and dropped to fifth place right off the bat. Two laps in, Jay Morris spins in front of Jay and he moves up to fourth. Jay holds off both Morris and Howard and takes fourth in the dash.

Next up is heat race acton where Jay starts on the outside of row three of the second heat. Jay slides into sixth place. Two laps later, he's challenging Matt Neblock for fourth place. The yellow flag comes out for Mike Cavanaugh, so Jay has to give the spot back. One lap later, Jay gets by Neil Martin into fourth place where he'd finish while reeling in Neblock for third.

The final event of the evening saw a 15 lap street stock feature where Jay lined up on the inside of row five. After lap one, Jay sits in ninth place. By lap eight, he slipped past Shannon Shutter into eighth place. The battle with Shutter doesn't end there as they go back and forth for the next few laps before Shutter takes the spot back and puts Jay in eighth. After Shutter passes Neblock, Jay makes his move on him and takes the eighth spot. Jay picks up one more spot after Jake Howard spins and finishes the race in seventh place!
